
Harvey began his career as a comedian. He was a stand-up comedian during the 1980s, and later was the host of Showtime at the Apollo and The Steve Harvey Show on The WB. The show was then re-released as The Original Kings of Comedy after appearing in his own Kings of Comedy Tour. His last stand-up show took place in 2012. Harvey is host of Family Feud as well Celebrity Family Feud. He has been in the position since 2010. He also hosted Little Big Shots, Little Big Shots Forever Young, and Steve Harvey's Funderdome. Author-wise, he has written four books, including the bestseller Act Like a Lady, Consider Like a Man, which came out in March 2009. Steve Harvey Global is an entertainment and media firm that houses East 112 in addition to several other ventures. He also launched Family Feud Africa and was an investor in Anthem Sports and Entertainment's purchase of HDNet. Marjorie Harvey and Steve Harvey were co-founders of the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation. This nonprofit organization is focused on youth education. Harvey has been an Daytime Emmy Award recipient seven times, a two-time Marconi Award nominee, and fourteen-time NAACP Image Award recipient in various categories.
